Restaurant People

Have you ever noticed couples in restaurants who just sit there across from each other, not looking or speaking to one another?  One might be looking out into the restaurant, checking out the happenings.  They both might be reading.  In any case, they are not engaged with each other.  They do nothing.  They say nothing.  They are seemingly very disconnected.  I call these people the Restaurant People.  Granted, I do not know their life situation or even their relationship situation, I just know that I never want to be one of them.  It looks heart-breaking and painful.  What’s the Point?  You gotta enjoy who you are with and you can’t let it Lack for anything!
